Training grants, specialization grants and technological development grants

For:

university graduates who want to increase and specialise their scientific knowledge through a stay in a member centre of the Basque Science, Technology & Innovation Network. Engineering students with only their End-of-Career project pending to qualify for their degree may also be beneficiaries of these grants.

Duration:

one year, extendable for another year

Amount:

€1,200 gross per month (taxable, IIT) With no contribution to the health insurance service.

Insurance:

with accident insurance.

The Foundation reserves the right to make any changes it considers advisable to the present conditions for the 2010 grants calls. And even to terminate the call for applications, particularly in the case of legislative changes that modify the conditions under which it was originally conceived.

Aids for PhD programmes

For:

university graduates who want to work on their doctoral thesis through a stay in a member centre of the Basque Science, Technology & Innovation Network. If those graduates are also registered in doctorate degree courses or postgraduate courses, they will only be able to receive the grant if they have registered in 2010.

Duration:

four years maximum, according to the Statute of Training Investigators - EPIF. A two-year period of grant and another two-year period with an internship contract.

Amount:

€1,200 gross per month, with contribution to the health insurance service. In this period, the amount received will not be taxable, as established at the 2/2004, 7/2004 and 2/2004 Provincial Laws (link to the documents). Once the grantee obtains the Master of Advanced Studies or an equivalent certificate in the third year, he/she will sign an internship contract with the main centre, that is to say, the Basque Science, Technology & Innovation Network and he/she will get paid as legally established.

Other expenses:

the grant includes the amount corresponding to the registration fee of the PhD programme.

Note: For all interviews, would be convenient applicants pre-enrolled in the PhD courses indicated in the form(s) for the selected grant(s).
